A little background from Deon on the Anberlin Classics Series “Cities Shirt”:
"In February of 2007, we released what would eventually be regarded as our most ambitious album, Cities. We didn’t know it for certain at the time, but we could sense something different was there when it came to this album and our band.
During this period, we decided to do our first full US/Canadian headline tour in support of the album. We wanted to finally take that leap and bring a lighting production and play a full 1 hour set, which was something we had scarcely done in those days. We brought out long time friends, Bayside as well as newcomers Jonezetta and Meg & Dia.
Our plan was to make a statement and leave our mark with anyone that came to see us and part of that was having a proper album shirt for the tour. We were very proud of the artwork Ryan Clark had created for the Cities album cover and putting it on a shirt seemed more than justifiable.
This shirt is still one of the designs we see fans break out the most, so here it is again for a limited time!”
Oh look it’s the tour where I went and saw them like a bunch of times because I was so impressed that “Canadian tour” literally meant “Canadian tour” and they played a lot of unappreciated cities. <3
